Type: 1:160G (headings), 5:80G (text), some printed guide-letters. 8-line initial opening part I in pink on gold ground with green decoration, initials opening parts II and III intertwined in red and blue, 2-3-line initials and paragraph marks alternating in red and blue. (Occasional light browning, very light dampstains in pt. III, some worm-tracking in lower margin of first two lvs. in pt. I, small wormholes affecting a few letters in first quires of pt. I and final quires of pt. III.) A composite set, with parts I and III bound together. Binding and provenance for each volume as follows: I and III: Contemporary calf over wooden boards, blindstamped, title stamped on front board, 2 brass fore-edge catches without clasps, (spine worn, missing section of leather on rear board); Schwenke-Sammlung Laubstab 55/6 Leipzig Buchführer = Kyriss 107, stamps 1, 3. Kyriss notes that all but one of the 45 bindings known to him by this shop were in Czechoslovakia; the following provenance of this volume points in the same directinon. Provenance : contemporary inscriptions erased, numerous marginal annotations; Bibliotheca Georgii Bertholdi Pontani a Braitenburg(?) Pragensis , in a 16th-century hand; G. Joannes Sandinus Turnoaing(?). II: Contemporary calf over wooden boards, blindstamped, title stamped in gold on front board, spine rebacked in pigskin, leather spine label, 14th-century vellum MS. spine liners, (lacking 2 fore-edge clasps); a Danzig binding, Schwenke-Sammlung Blattwerk 368 and 480a = Kloster Salfeld. Provenance : contemporary inscription erased; Conuentus Annuntiatae Seruorum B.V.M. in [--] Vienna(?) 1650 , partly erased.
