Facsimile letter on 3-pages contained in original pale blue printed envelope. FIRST EDITION. ONE OF 50 COPIES . The printed envelope has been corrected with the addition of a capital ‘E’ at the end of ‘Madam’. Benkovitz A14. With 7 other books by the same author, namely The Artificial Princess (London, Centaur Press, 1934, illustrations by Hugh Easton NUMBER 26 OF 60 COPIES ), “The Wind & the Roses” ([London], “privately printed for Alan Clodd”, 1965, LIMITED TO 70 COPIES, THIS NUMBER VIII OF XX “HORS COMMERCE ”, with a one-page autograph letter on the subject of the book from Alan Clodd to Anthony Hobson , Far Away (Iowa City, 1966, LIMITED TO 100 COPIES ), An Early Flemish Painter ([No place, 1969]), Two Early Stories (New York, Albondocani Press, 1971, green paper, LIMITED TO 226 COPIES ), La Princesse aux Soleils & Harmonie (London, The Enitharmon Press, 1974, NUMBER 18 OF 200 COPIES , with an autograph note by Hobson relating to errors in the translation loosely-inserted) and When Widows Love & A Tragedy in Green (London, The Enitharmon Press, 1980).
