Los Angeles, 8 April 1940. 8 pages, folio, double-spaced, carbon copy, stapled to blue printed and typed law firm backing cover , signed by Fitzgerald at end at space designated "Writer." The agreement, comprising nine terms, calls for Fitzgerald's "employment" to begin April 8 and to run for four weeks with payment of $2,5000.
