(13 1/2 x 18 1/2 in), sheet 480 x 600 mm. (18 7/8 x 23 1/2 in), good margins, with Italian text verso, central vertical fold with finely repaired split, minor surface dirt and finger-soiling to extremities, unframed, [Antwerp, 1609]. Literature: VdB 15 ⁂ The sources used to produce the map were said to have been compiled by Geronimo de Chaves, and were largely based on the expedition of Hernando de Soto, 1539-42.
