Features marker notations in blue, red and black (Unbeat), and a green rubberstamp with text in German. Slight irregularity to lower right paper edge, else in very fine condition. Japanese experimental artist and cultural activist Yoshio Nakajima (1940) worked amongst the avant-garde in Europe in the 1960s and 1970s. He was involved with Provo in the Netherlands, Happenings in Belgium (in both countries he was expelled for staging illegal performances), the Swedish Bauhaus Situationistes, Fluxus and Mail Art, coining his own performative actions 'Unbeat'. From 1973 he started organizing art seminars and events from his base in Ubbeboda (Sweden), drawing international artists to the small village as a kind of 'Art Missionary/Professor'.
