Fonseca--Vintage 1970 3 Bottled in Oporto; plastic capsules. 3 Bottled in UK by Grants of St James, London Four recent notes. Still a thick red color, just starting to show it's age on the rim. A closed nose, hinting at figs. The palate it's that classic rustic Fonseca character. Lots of ripe chewy figs. Really long length. Tasted next to Taylor 1970 twice, last time the Taylor was better, but this time Fonseca had the edge. Either way it confirms what a fine year 1970 is for Vintage Port. DW 6 bottles per lot
