Fountain Figure: After Theodore Kalide A lead fountain group of a boy and swan 125cm.; 49ins high by 120cm.; 47ins wide by 115cm.; 45½ins deep The original by Professor Theodor Kalide (1801-1864) was commissioned by the King of Prussia and cast in spelter by the Geiss Company of Berlin. It was exhibited in the 1851 Great Exhibition at Crystal Palace and another example can be seen in the Italian garden of Osborne House^ Isle of Wight.
