She has been selected for the BP Portrait Award on six occasions, and been a prize winner on three (1996, 1998 and 2000), coming second in 1998. She has also received prizes in the NatWest Prize for Art (1995 and 1996), Hunting Art Prizes (1997 and 1999) and The Wells Art Contemporary Prize (2012). She has exhibited widely and lives in Devon, UK. "I love painting because its truthfulness never fails or diminishes in any measure, is obvious and directly expressed right at the heart of the work, yet still capable of being overlooked."
