Title with woodcut device. 516 full-page woodcut illustrations with names at head in roman and gothic, a few cuts with early hand-colouring. (Waterstained, final leaf with 4 large holes at inner margin slightly affecting illustration on recto.) Contemporary calf (extremities worn). Provenance : copious pencil annotations, supplying Linnean classification and references -- Johann Hus Bibliotek (etched bookplate). II-V, 2 hand-coloured engraved plates of figures accompanied by a 2-page engraved table on one leaf, 640 hand-coloured engraved plates of plants numbered in a contemporary hand. (Plate 152 slightly soiled, occasional offsetting to text, a few spots and stains, 'table françoise' slightly misbound, without the optional letterpress title to vol. I.)
