Krazy displays her love for Ignatz the mouse, who shows his disdain for this affection with an unending number of bricks, which are interpreted by Krazy as tokens of affection. The third member of the triangle, Offissa Pup, tries to protect Krazy from Ignatz's antics only to be foiled again and again. There are three distinct time periods during which the strip grows more sophisticated with gradual and subtle changes; this example is from the earliest such period, dating from the first year of the Sunday format.
