Robert Sweet (1783-1835) was a British horticulturist and nurseryman at Stockwell and Chelsea and published several other important books. The five volumes were published in parts over a period of ten years, and partial sets, such as this one, are not uncommon. Lot Amendments Condition: Some rubbing to boards and original spine strips, the rebacking is exceptionally well done; light offset from the plates to the text leaves, near fine overall.
