The engraving at hand by Edelinck records a lost self-portrait by Philippe de Champaigne (Belgian/French, 1602-1674). Another version of the self-portrait (oil on wood, 18 x 13 1/2 in.), thought to be after Philippe de Champaigne and based on the engraving, is in the collection of the Fogg Art Museum, Harvard University (1966.149).
