Beschreibung:

Gerbruder Weber "Unika" Orchestrion ca. 1923. The Weber company released the first Unika orchestrion in 1912 and it became one of their best selling products during the 1920's. The instrument features keyboard-style piano with mandolin attachment and a single bank of violin pipes, arranged to play solo. Built by the famous Weber Bothers of Waldkirch, Germany, nestled in the Black Forest, home to some of the world's best craftsmen. Beautiful walnut cabinet with detailed front carving. Beveled mirrors adorn the front doors flanked with dual sconce lights and front brass plate stating "Gerard G.I. 6 Rue Des Fabriques, Bruxelles", presumed to be the distributor who sold the instrument. This instrument is in excellent condition. The internal mechanics are pristine and the cabinet has very little wear. Currently playing beautifully. Weber was known for their strikingly beautiful sound and this example lives up to that distinction. Includes 10 music rolls. Early Unika, restored, and has had a bass coupler added.
