GOLD AUDEMARS PIGUET REF. BA 14677 FERRARI 315S, CIRCA 1990 Two body tonneau 18K gold case, n. C86856, stepped bezel, concave lugs, transparent caseback. Not original strap and gold AP buckle. Dial decorated with a gold representation of a Ferrari 315S with race number 532 (Wolfgang von Trips, Mille Miglia 1957) and two crossed checkered flag. Black lacquered feuille hands. Self-Winding movement signed “Audemars Piguet”, rhodium-plated caliber 2120/1, n. 339652, 38 jewels, rail-rotor with ruby bearing and with 21K gold insert, pierced and engraved MS monogram on the rotor, fausses-côtes and perlage decoration, lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat and cold, isochronism and five positions, self-compensating hairspring, KIF shock-absorber. Fitted with cardboard cover, box and booklet with warranty. Diameter Ø: 34 mm Note: working. For a restricted number of collectors, Audemars Piguet produced watches with the dial embellished with the image of a Ferrari that, although unidentified and portrayed without the shield, is attributable to the 315S piloted by Von Trips during the 1957 Mille Miglia. The race was the last edition of the Mille Miglia until its rebirth, twenty years later, as a regularity rally for vintage cars.
