PRESENTATION COPY of a collection of "lyric and epic-lyric verse" inscribed: "To highly respected Konstantin Aleksandrovich Sunnerberg, Sergei Gorodetskii". Sunnerberg himself signed the front wrapper in ink and dated on the inside front wrapper his receipt of it on December 21, 1906. Gorodetskii dedicated the poem "Poet" (pp 112-115) to fellow poet Aleksandr Blok. Igor Stravinsky set two of his poems in Yar to music as "Two Melodies of Gorodetsky" (1907–08), opus 6. Scholar Lawrence Morton has argued that the idea of pagan sacrifice in Stravinsky's famous ballet "The Rite of Spring" (1913) may have been in part inspired by reading the poem "Yarila" in Gorodetskii's Yar.
