Great Britain massive mint and used collection housed in seven binders in two boxes, the first volume is devoted to 19th century and early 20th century into the 1940s, the early issues are very extensive starting with #1-2 and including all of the imperforate issues, the perforated issues are also comprehensive for the different Scott numbers though not collected for all the different plates, lacking are only some of the rare shilling and pound values, mint starts with the last Queen Victoria issue complete to the 1/- values plus a used £1 Green, the King Edward VII issue is collected the same with mint to the 1/- value and used examples of the 2/6-£1 values, the King George V issues are collected mostly mint for the low values and used for the higher values including a £1 Seahorse, later high values are mostly mint including a £1 P.U.C., the condition in this volume includes a few faults in the early 19th century but overall o.g. or used, fine-very fine, the Scott value for this volume is in excess of $22,000.00, the other six volumes are dedicated to the Queen Elizabeth period and is often quite specialized, there are two volumes that contain commemorative issues to 2012 and include the phosphorescent issues which are usually n.h. (previously hinged are found on some other issues through the 1960s), there is a specialized volume of the definitive issues including Machins, numerous varieties are present such as phosphorescent, graphite lines, sideways and inverted watermarks, etc., the Machins include many varieties of gum, paper and shades plus coils and se-tenant multiples from booklets, this is a fascinating study, in addition there are two volumes of hundreds of complete booklets including Machins, another volume has regional issues, the modern portion of this collection is very fresh and attractive, o.g., virtually all never hinged, fine-very fine; this is a most interesting collection with lots of material that would be hard to get into one collection; examination is essential to appreciate the scope of the the material that is here.
