Greek Terracotta Head Group 4th-2nd century BC A group of five terracotta heads, each distinctive: one head of a female figure which retains the majority of the face, part of the neck and hair, her facial details and hair highlighted with shallow incised lines, prominent chin and lentoid eyes, probably originally part of a hollow-formed figure; a second hollow-formed female head, sub-triangular in plan, retaining the majority of the face along with hair and a possible headdress, hair dressed in 'bobbles' framing the face, eyes and lips discernible; a third head, once part of a hollow-formed figure, face and hair survive in full, hair dressed in a series of 'bobbles' which frame the head and face; a fourth female head, the neck, face, head and hair all partially present, hair dressed in a chignon at the nape of her neck, the texture of her hair, with rear central parting, indicated with a series of incised lines, eyes and chin discernible, a small hole in the centre of her face; finally, a hollow-formed head and partial upper torso of a male figure wearing a helmet, chips to his face. 115 grams total, 31-72mm (1 1/4 - 2 3/4").
