Grimm (Jakob Ludwig and Wilhelm Carl) German Popular Stories, translated from the Kinder und Haus-Marchen..., 2 vol., first English edition, first issue without umlaut in "Marchen" on title and other points as listed by Cohn, half-titles, etched vignette titles and 20 plates by George Cruikshank some in vol.1 printed in sepia, foxing and offsetting, one plate in vol.2 with crude hand-colouring and repair to tear at inner margin, G10 in vol.1 lacking portion from outer margin with loss of a couple of letters (repaired), without advertisements, modern dark red calf, gilt, g.e., slight marking to boards, [Cohn 369], 12mo, C.Baldwyn, 1823 and James Robins & Co London and Joseph Robins Jun. & Co. Dublin, 1826.
