Five pressed paper cdv-sized hanging frames containing cdvs and one small tintype made to fit. Penciled inscriptions on the backs of the frames identify the sitters as members of the Coddington family. Plus a simple, but attractive square wooden frame containing a cdv of a young girl and another wooden hanging frame containing a cdv from the French photographer Pierre Petit Plus a sixth plate daguerreotype case made of black leather with no repairs. Inside cushion has rare design with circular pattern of fruits. Plate inside is completely rubbed out but the mat is early and labeled Anson, Broadway. One beautiful photograph case made of bronze and capable of either standing or hanging. A glass front protects the image of a WWI German soldier posed in front of a Victorian backdrop. Bottom of the case has two brass ball "feet." There are two cdv cross-cut frames, one with the image of a boy and dog and the other is a family portrait of a woman with her two boys. Finally, one small brass frame with two separate, small photographs side by side. The edges of the photographs are decorated with an intricate mosaic pattern of glass and painted daisies, with kick-stand back. Provenance: Ex James E. Sanders Collection Condition: NULL
