Description: Grouping of Great War Identity Discs of the Royal Fusiliers, consisting of an aluminium oval disc stamped “E STIMPSON C E 17038 33 R FUS”; hallmarked silver (Birmingham 1914) engraved “LIEUT P M RICHARDS C.E 18TH ROYAL FUSILIERS” scratched underneath the “18” is “10”; two fibre identity discs stamped “24146 J KELLY BAPT ROY FUS”; two identity discs including alloy example and fibre type, the first stamped “F R PALENGAT 2135 R C 1 C OF L BN” second “2 LIEUT F R PALENGAT 7 RF RC”, accompanied by a pair of tags possibly of a relation “F E PALENGAT ROY FUS RC”; fibre identity tag “NO 6607 LEE L CE R FUS”; crude copper coin which has been polished flat and hammered engraved with details “60938 A CROVE CE 26 RF” reverse hammered “KEMMEL”; pair of identity discs, the first alloy stamped “F W FORD 9378 PS CE R FUS” the second EPNS engraved “PTE F W FORD”; tin identity disc impressed “F D E GRUCHY PS 10300 C E 22 R.F” and large nickel oval identity tag stamped “M W ASHMAN 59420 CE 33 R.F”. (14 items) A record appears of a 2nd Lieutenant Percival Morgan Richards serving with the 10th Battalion Royal Fusiliers is shown as being killed in action 15th July 1916; Private J Kelly served with the 4th Battalion Royal Fusiliers; Private Lee served with the Public Schools battalion Royal Fusiliers; Private Francis W Ford also served with the Royal West Kent regiment; Mark William Ashman served in the Labour Battalion Royal Fusiliers, later transferring to the Labour Corps.
