It is a reissue of the edition published in 1522 by Alessandro Bindoni, the father of Francesco. The plot centres around Guerrin's search for his lost parents, having been cast out as a baby and sold by pirates. At the end of his adventures Guerrin discovers that he is the son of Milone, Duke of Durazzo, who was himself the son of a Duke of Burgundy, making Guerrino of noble birth.
