Color woodcut on laid oatmeal paper with partial figural watermark, image size 11 x 9 7/8 in. (27.9 x 25.0 cm), framed. Condition: Margins approximately 1/2-inch with staining to edges. N.B. The view depicts one of the byways of Brown County, Indiana. Baumann moved here in 1910, and remained for the next eight years. This is also when he began using the hand-in-heart chop mark.
