Beschreibung:

Two lengthy Halachic responsa, in the handwriting and signature of Rabbi Yosef HaLevi Dinkalis. One responsum from the year 1938 discusses the Jerusalem custom of maintaining Kedushat Shvi'it from the beginning of the Shmitta year for oranges and citrons. The second responsum is a lengthy pamphlet criticising the claims of the recipient of the letter [response to article or book?] with handwritten penciled comments by recipient. The continuation of the letter discusses matters of Shmitta and presents a response letter which he received from "Rabbi Yosef Razin Av Beit Din of Dvinsk regarding giving charity to the poor" [this letter was written prior to 1936 since the Ga'on of Rogochov passed away in Adar 1936]. The Ga'on Rabbi Yosef HaLevi Dinkalis (1894-1976), among the greatest Torah scholars in the previous generation, disciple of Rabbi Itzele of Ponevezh, Rabbi Baruch Ber Leibovitz and Rabbi Chaim Ozer. After his marriage studied in the "Kovna Kollel" in Slobodka, and immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1925 together with the Chevron Yeshiva. In his old age moved to Bnei Brak and studied in the Ponevezh Yeshiva and in the "Chazon Ish Kollel". Holy genius, studied Torah in depth his entire life, published dozens of his well-known books on Sidrei Zera'im and Taharot: "Emunat Yosef", "Da'at Yosef" and others. (Known for his holiness and power of blessing - see attached material). Nineteen written pages, various sizes, good condition, creases.
