Fine condition. TAXATION WITH REPRESENTATION IN WORCESTER. A resolution enacted by the Massachusetts legislature. "Whereas it appears by the representation & estimate of the Justices...for the County of Worcester" that certain sums be raised "for the purpose of discharging the debts," it is resolved that Worcester be permitted to levy a tax "on the polls & estates both real & personal," which may be apportioned between "the several towns & districts...in the manner pointed out by the law of the Commonwealth." Marked "Approv'd" and boldly signed by Hancock at the bottom.
