Beschreibung:

Hans Wegner (Danish, 1914-2007) for A.P. Stolen, Denmark. Model AP19 "Papa Bear" chair with wood frame and tan fabric upholstery, designed in 1951. Reupholstered in the 1970s. Marked with the number "10" along the frame along the underside. The name was first coined by a journalist who felt as though they were being hugged by the chair and that it had paws where their hands were resting, so they described the chair as the "Papa Bear Chair." Anker Petersen, the director of AP Mobler, liked the name and dubbed the new chair as such. The chair was designed with angled and tapered legs, with the back legs extending through the frame upward to the armrests to provide structural support. Height: 38 1/4 in x width: 35 in x depth: 36 in. Condition Request Condition Report Please contact us for a detailed condition report.
