Containing a full Explication of that Method by which the Most Celebrated Geometers of the present Age have made such vast Advances in Mechanical Philosophy, London: Edward Midwinter, for Daniel Midwinter and Thomas Leigh 1704. 2° (310 x 184mm.). Diagrams, one pasted onto ii, publisher's advertisement at end. (Title stained and browned, piece torn away from lower edge with slight loss, some staining throughout, more heavy towards the front, advertisement leaf torn without loss). Contemporary vellum-backed marbled boards. (Rubbed and scuffed, hole in spine). Provenance : illegible early signatures on title. Brunet III, 64 (note); Norman 1026.
