Ex-collection Robert Scholtz Budapest (1834-1912), a notable collector of Northern old master prints, whose collection, which included "les Plus belles estampes d'Aldegrever," according to Lugt, was auctioned by H.G. Gutekunst, Stuttgart, May, 10-13, 1911 (Lugt 2241), with his label, numbered "755" in ink, verso. Original copperplates for old master prints are extremely scarce.
