Ferroud, 1903, 18°, FIRST EDITION limited to 370 copies, this number 35 of 110 copies on papier du Japon or vélin d' Arches, and one of 60 copies with etchings by Bracquemond after Chéret in three states, contemporary blue levant morocco by RENÉ KIEFFER, covers with overall design of flowers and leaves formed of lighter blue and brown morocco onlays, the former outlined in gilt and the latter in blind, both with linked stems in blind joined by a scalloped gilt border, spine in compartments with sharply-raised bands, titled in gilt and dated at foot, inner dentelles of five line gilt rule, one line intersepersed with circles in groups of two or more, some circles with a small inner fleck, blue and white silk doublures with pattern of leaves and bunched circles suggestive of fruits (slightly stained at foot), original wrappers and backstrip preserved (upper wrapper browned), t.e.g., others uncut, slipcase. [Talvart & Place VIII, p. 129: 15] Prices for this edition varied from 25 fr. for vélin d' Arches, 35 fr. for Japon, 45 fr. and 65 fr. for copies on Japon or vélin d' Arches with the etchings in two or three states.
