A one inch tear is present in the upper left corner. The sheet is affixed to a paper support. Under UV light one can see a small area of inpainting in the ower right corner and possibly some strengthening to the shadows. There is a purported signature and inscription on the reverse that reads: Lara A. Delano / painted & presented / by H.K. Brown 1865
