The Statutes of the Most Noble Order of the Garter , in English and French, illuminated manuscript on paper, [1713], including two full-page illustrations of the arms of Queen Anne and Henry, Duke of Kent, text in red and brown ink, 36 pages, 4to (255 x 195mm) , English 18th-century calf gilt, covers with central panel enclosing the Royal arms with crown and acorn cornerpieces, blue silk ties with gold thread fringe. Provenance : Henry Grey, 1st Duke of Kent (1671-1740; armorial bookplate dated 1713 pasted inside upper cover) -- his great-great grandson Thomas Philip, 2nd Earl de Grey (1781-1859) of Wrest Park (armorial bookplate pasted onto front endpaper).
