Album measures 14.5x22.5 cm (5¾x8¾"), flexible pebbled cloth. Fascinating record of a hike up Mt. Wilson in a cold, snowy early March, 1911, by two young men, combining photographs with a very entertaining descriptive account. The many photographs following the account show a family obviously enamored with the outdoors. There are many photographs of mountain cabins, some in winter, and one marked "Our Cabin," and the family activities are largely in or around the cabins. One shows a Christmas tree, another photo captures cabin building in progress.
