Page 434 begins: Polly a Negro girl I purchased of Daniel Turner Jr. was born in March 1796 / Thomas son of Polly was born July 29th 1813...Lucy Ann daughter of Do born March 8th, 1818... Complete list has about 16 children of Polly, and her death, June 2, 1851. The next page notes: "Mary Frances had the measles scarlet fever & Hooping[sic] cough before she was 18 months old Polly children older than she has had the measles & Hooping cough." And "Lucy Ann took Mrs. Gatewoods George for a husband July 30th 1837." Condition: Moderate to occasionally heavy toning and foxing, some dampstains. Boards separated. About 1 in. missing from foot of spine.
