FIRST EDITION , unusually bound in three rather than two volumes. 'Hobhouse was a close friend of Byron and accompanied him on his first journey to Greece. This work is of great interest not only for the light it sheds on that journey, but for the mass of information Hobhouse provides, in particular on the court and character of Ali Pasha’: Atabey 584; Blackmer 821.
