A handsome copy in red morocco with interesting provenance: Vignerot inherited Cardinal de Richelieu's library; while Frances Currer was 'England's earliest female bibliophile' (De Ricci), whose library and collection placed her 'at the head of all female collectors in Europe' (Dibdin). Her library was surpassed only by those of Earl Spencer, the Duke of Devonshire and the Duke of Buckingham. Willems 314.
