A salesman sample for the Hugunin and Whitney Washing Machine complete with patent tag identifying patent date of Aug. 21, 1860 and metal "Sanitary" washing board. Patented by R. B. Hugunin of Cleveland, Ohio and G. W. Whitney of Berea, Ohio, this improved design featured two grooved surfaces that moved in opposite directions; ht. 8.25, wd. 11.25, dp. 8 in.
