Very rare view titled in the negative Indian Trading Stores at San Carlos, Ariz., with a 12-oxen and 10-oxen train visible in the square and the US Post Office in the background. An uncredited view, possibly taken by A.F. Randall or C.S. Fly, ca 1880s. Both photographers were known to have produced views of San Carlos at this time. This photograph descended in the family of William Wallace Chapel (1839-1922), who operated a trading post and served as postmaster at San Carlos, Gila County, Arizona Territory, ca 1886-1890. Condition: Excellent.
