IRON AGE CELTIC BRONZE CHARIOT REIN GUIDE Early-Mid 1st century AD A cast carinated terret with lobed flanges and upturned knopped crescents, columnar shank and flange with ferrous remains to the underside. 316 grams, 13.5cm (5 1/4"). Extremely fine condition. Rare. Provenance From the estate of the late Jennifer Simmonds, acquired from Jacobs & Hunt auctioneers, Petersfield, Hampshire, UK; reputed to have been excavated near Viables in Hampshire at the end of the 19th century.
