History of the Outer Hebrides (Lewis, Harris, North and South Uist, Benbecula, and Barra), 1st edition, Paisley: Alexander Gardner 1903, 24 plates, top edge gilt, others untrimmed, orginal cloth, rebacked in morocco, 8vo, number 25 of 150 copies 'of this Special Edition', Stirton (John). Crathie and Braemar. A History of the United Parish, 1st edition, Aberdeen: Milne and Hutchison, 1925, frontispiece, 41 halftone plates (tipped in as issued), one further plate, damp-stain to foot of frontispiece, faint tide-mark to mounts of a few plates at foot, bookplate of Princess Beatrice (1857-1944), original cloth, 4to, Balfour (David, editor).
