JAZZ AUTOGRAPH ALBUM.Autograph album signed by 8 jazz artists, including Lionel Hampton, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Sammy Kaye, Mel Moore, Tommy Duchene and Ethel Ellis, most accompanied by caricatures in ink and colored pencil, all addressed to "Irving," the last (Ethel Ennis) dated April 12, 1973. Loose leaves of lined paper with colored borders, each individually inserted into clear plastic sleeves in a small 8vo report binder. Some offsetting, minor soiling.
These six leaves from an autograph album were collected by an Irving Bronfman, to whom the dedications were made, and illustrated by his wife. This group of jazz luminaries, most of whom had collaborated in the past, were gathered for a concert of Lionel Hampton's "Just Jazz All-Stars" (a jazz super-combo with rotating artists) in April 1973.
