(Lacks title.) Modern calf, red morocco title labels on upper cover and spine (joints repaired). Thomas Jefferys was geographer to the Prince of Wales, later King George III, and the leading map supplier of his day. He is best known for his American Atlas , first published in 1776, the most important 18th-century atlas for America.
