Jewellery An Archaeological Revival brooch, circa 1860s/1870s, of hollow construction, modelled as two opposing ram’s head hoops supporting three amphora drops, an owl surmount above and a frog detail below, with applied wirework decoration, (repaired), brooch width 56mm, length 60mm . £300-500 Condition Report The piece has been repaired and reinforced to the reverse, with a replacement brooch fitting added. There are some holes to the front of the frog detail (bottom centre) and some evidence of repair to the front at the left ram’s head, and this hoop is slightly dented. Gross weight 12gm.
