JOHN BRIGHT (1811-1889); LORD SALISBURY ROBERT ARTHUR TALBOT GASCOYNE-CECIL (1830-1903) Two autograph letters signed ("John Bright") to N. Cawkwell Esq at Euston Station, N.W., together 5 pp., 8, from 40 Clarges Street on 23 June 1873 and from Rochdale on 22 August 1873 (paper discolouration). The first discussing his daughter's trip to Brighton on the 27 June and the various arrangements "to have a saloon carriage ready" for the train. He organises the ligistics of having a carriage brought from Victoria Station to Willesden junction and on to Stockport but requests that the station master at Stockport organises "an Esquire to take the carriage on to Rochdale". The second discusses travel payments. Autograph letter signed ("Yours truly Salisbury"), to Sir George Findlay, 1 1/2 pp., 8, on 20 Arlington Street S.W., headed paper, 28 January 1893 thanking him for his letter and agreeing with the travel arrangements organised.
