John Drury, London, a black lacquer longcase clock, the eight-day duration movement striking the hours on a bell, with the twelve-inch arched brass dial having a raised silvered chapter ring engraved with black Roman hour numerals, Arabic five-minute markings and an arcaded minute ring, the matted centre having a subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture and a silvered name plate signed John Drury, London, with a strike/silent dial to the arch and c-scroll cast brass spandrels to the four corners, with blued steel hands, the black lacquer case with raised chinoiserie decoration, the hood with three-quarter columns and a pagoda top surmounted by a pair of brass ball-and-spire finials to the sides and an eagle finial to the centre, the trunk with a break-arch door, standing on a plinth, height: 214cm.
