Label on verso reads George Moreland Loan No 1, in addition to a clipping citing that this particular work was published in Portrait Waxes by Reilly in fig 40-44. In the original wooden shadow box frame; 5.75" x 4.75" (frame). John Flaxman (British, 1755-1826), noted sculptor, was enrolled at the Royal Academy in 1770, an institution he remained associated with his entire life. He began working for Josiah Wedgwood in 1775, where he earned his principal income. Examples of his work are displayed in numerous London institutions. Condition: NULL
