Lately we lay awake at 3am wondering if chatbots will steal our cushy auction house gig, a feeling exacerbated by ish #49's cover story, "Robot on a Rampage!" So in a fit of self-flagellation, we asked ChatGPT to write "a brief, snappy catalogue entry for Journey into Mystery #s 44, 49 and 51." Here's the result of our experiment. We're pleased to say it looks like our job is safe for now, at least 'til they roll out Chatbot 2.0: "Journey into Mystery #44, 49 and 51: Experience the exhilarating adventures of Thor, the God of Thunder, as he battles foes both on Earth and in the mystical realm of Asgard. These issues showcase some of the earliest appearances of iconic characters such as Loki, the Enchantress, and the Executioner. Don't miss out on the epic battles and dramatic storylines that set the foundation for the Marvel Universe as we know it today!" — ChatGPT. A limited edition of ten hardcover catalogues is available, in addition to a few dozen softcovers. Fun reference, great keepsake, fully illustrated, chockablock with obscure facts, gags, bon mots.
