Kiowa Beaded Toy Cradle, c. last quarter 19th century, beaded with a zigzag and cross design, with large trade beads on the side fringe, a row of German silver buttons at the top, traces of yellow pigment on the boards and green pigment on the fringe, contains a European porcelain-head doll, ht. of board 10 1/2 in. Provenance: Millie R. Hall who in 1900 lived on the Pottawatomie Reservation, Jackson County, Kansas; she worked at the Pottawatomie boarding school.
