I remember 'Ali Baba' perfectly-- even the drive... to see it acted--and I wrote one critique of it but I did not write any prologue. So far as I remember I did one for Roberts but that was years later. As you say, these were great days..." The recipient was possibly Leslie Cope Cornford (1867-1927), journalist, novelist and miscellaneous writer whose publications in Henley's National Observer attracted Kipling's attention. (2)
