La Chapelle Mission Haut-Brion 2010 La Chapelle Mission Haut-Brion 2010 Pessac-Leognan (Graves) Lovely violetty scent - so frank and clean. Lovely and luscious with really appealing, non-obvious fruit. Light coffee notes, like coffee creams. So juicy and seductive. Serena Sutcliffe, MW See illustration Lot 59 1 imperial - 6 litre (owc) per lot: HKD 6000-9000 per lot: USD 750-1200 This is the little brother (or sister!) of La Mission Haut-Brion itself and a very mouth-watering wine in its own right. The composition of grape varieties can vary quite considerably in accordance with the material that the weather provides, with greatly fluctuating Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon percentages, but the perfume and substance always deliver, often with racy black fruit and a sign-off that sends you on your way in a very happy mood. Starting with the 2006 vintage this wine includes the grapes from the neighboring vineyards of Chateau La Tour Haut-Brion for which 2005 was the last vintage. Chapelle is a wine that is a true friend throughout all its life, with a come-hither, gulpable quality that fits all our needs. It is also something of a secret to share with friends, only if they are very good.
