an album of 100 photographs, comprising a group of views of Colombo and elsewhere, unsigned, a Talipot Fern and view of Kadialena Falls, by Skeen & Co., a good study of india rubber trees and two group portraits of Kandyan chiefs, 24 albumen prints, all but a few c.210 x 275mm., 8¼ x 10¾in., mounted on both sides of leaves, and a series of views and studies of the unique archaeological sites of Anuradhapura, Mihintale, Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa by Lawton, 76 albumen prints, all but a few c.210 x 270mm., 8¼ x 10½in., the great majority signed in the negative, mounted on both sides of leaves, printed numbered description slips pasted below, c.30 mounts with ink library stamp below image, leaves detached from stubs, contemporary half morocco, worn, upper cover detached, oblong 4to, [1870-71].
