Letters to Admiral, then Captain Gosselin, mainly whilst on board HMS Audacious: to include two from Sir R Bickerton (Admiral) 1807,1809 regarding becoming an admiral and an introduction to Lord Mulgrave, two letters home whilst on board the HMS Ville de Paris 1804 May and July, one citing that Adm. Cornwallis personally asked for Gosselin to be appointed to the Ville de Paris, the earlier letter saying he was to be appointed to HMS Argo, 1808 letter from HMS Hibernia from Lord St Vincent regarding procuring crew for HMS Latona, two signed letters from Rear Admiral Yorke 1810 appointing Gosselin to HMS Ruby, Commodore Keats hand signed letter regarding HMS Superb to Capt Gosselin 1808, Adm. Saumarez hand signed letter to Gosselin 1808, Sir Charles Cotton handwritten and twice signed letter from HMS San Josef to Gosselin thanking him for his diligence during the Brest incident, and sending him French Coast signals which he asks him to translate as procured from the HMS Nile Lugger 1805, General Hope(overall commander at Corunna once Gen. Moore was killed) letter regarding Gosselin being mentioned for application 1809, multi-signed letter to Gosselin whilst on HMS Syren for acceptance of a presentation sword from the masters of Jamaica and Domingo ships 1798 and another letter signed Thomas Bryden 1798 on board HMS Syren commending his sailing skills escorting slow ships home safely, 1806 letter describing a serious storm off Cowsand Bay which damaged the masts to many ships namely HMS Montague, Terrible, Triumph, Bellona and Melampus, Letter from Gosselin 7 July 1804 discussing many naval dignitaries and ship assignations, along with courtships of admirals, and also two executions for mutiny on board the HMS Montague.
